I have done a lot of research on Weimaraners....but can find no information about barking. If this breed barks incessantly, I want to know it? Can anyone please answer this question?....how much do they bark?

Weims are just like any other dog. Generally speaking that is. I have two weims-and they bark only when they perceive a threat to our house, our yard or someone gets too close to my daughter. It's interesting the "protective" attitude that ours have. I will admit-we had to learn how to harness and divert my male's agression...but with a little work, praise and affection-it went a long way. Depending on the location-barking can be a good thing. In our neighborhood-there is a group of kids who like to go around late at night and mess with people's houses and yards. The kids now know-not to come close because they'll be "caught". Weims are great companions. However-in order to have one-plenty of work, exercise and discipline MUST go into a "wholesome" relationship with your dog(s). Good luck! Another good person for information is "fivedogs". I taught her everything she knows.... ; ) HAHAHAHAHA. (Actually quite opposite). ---------- Cory Engineerguy57@yahoo.com

Some weims will bark alot while others are quiet... they are all different. Most cases of barking problems have been a result of not enough activity, protectiveness, too much time outside alone and separation anxiety. ---------- Toni Eichholz Harmony Weimaraners www.geocities/grayce.com Weim Designs!!! www.cafepress.com/weimetc
