Our 18 month old neutered male weim loves going to the dog park. Right now, he's an only dog, but we're about to adopt another. So, it's really his only time to see other dogs. He also gets to run there like he never otherwise gets to run. We walk him and bike with him, but he gets to go stop speed chasing other dogs at the dog park, so of course, we don't want to cut his park priviledges, BUT... He tries to mark everything. We'll let him mark most stuff, I mean really, what's the harm? But recently, he's developed a habit of trying to mark other dogs and people. He tried to do it once when we first adopted him, but fortunately, it was a friend's dog and he had done it to another dog before. But then, he lifted his leg on a friend's table. Now, at the dog park, he frequently tries to pee on other dogs or even other dog owners. We keep a close eye on him and just try to catch him before he does it for the most part, but I'm really concerned. He also tried to do it at another house with male dogs. I really don't want to cut off his dog park privledges, as I think it's great for him, and we have a lot of friends with male dogs, but I just don't want to bring him places where he might lift his leg on other people or dogs or other people's belongings. He never does this in our house, and he really never did it until recently. We're starting dog obedience in two weeks, which I read might help, but I doubt it will stop him completely. Please help! I'm open to suggestions. He is neutered, so that's not it. Thank you!
