I have recently acquired a white Lab to play with Gretchen, my Weim. The Lab could stand to lose a few pounds. Currently, I am feeding both dogs Evo Reduced Fat; however, I am thinking of switching to Core Wellness Reduced Fat as it has a much lower percentage of protein. Evo has about 55% while Core has about 33%. Both have no grains and I'd like to keep their diet to remain that way, no grains that is. Any comments/suggestions on either food or recommendations for another no grain food? Any advice is greatly appreciated! Joceline, Gretchen and Zoe

i'm not familiar with Evo. but i know with my girl nixie, she's allergic to corn/wheat/who knows what else - i have her and my boy cleatus on Natural Choice's Lamb/Rice meal (dark green bag) - i get it at petco. it work really well for them. i also switch out with Natural Balance. both are good non-grain foods. www.nutrisource.com is one that i started with, and had good results with also.

Evo is a very good food, although we had Gas issues with it, since it's binder is Tapioca. Evo has a reduced fat formula as well. If you are local, I work at Brookside Barkery & Bath in Brookside and will be there each afternoon/evening this week (except for Fri.) and can help you with any food related questions as well as send you home with some samples of foods available as well.. ---------- Toni Eichholz Harmony Weimaraners www.geocities/grayce.com Weim Designs!!! www.cafepress.com/weimetc
